Fun Facts

Always check transaction details before confirming

In recent months, there has been some evidences of rogue Monero nodes trying to make users pay more-than-normal fees for their transactions. Unfortunately, one of the downfalls of using random remote nodes is that you should trust them to provide you with genuine data when making a transaction. Other serious downfall beside these attempts to make people pay enormous fees, is that a rogue node can attack users with providing them with compromised ring decoys so in long run the movements of funds would be revealed. So always use your self-hosted node or from someone's you trust to better help decentralize the network and keep yourself out of danger. Check "Breaking Monero" for more information on how to be more than safe when using Monero.
